I know what it’s like to not have the time to do one more freakin’ thing and knowing that something’s gotta give. You’re working your booty off, trying to serve clients, book more clients, and keep the wheel moving on your business…

And you’re doing the work of two people. Not only are you the marketing/sales team, getting potential clients in the door, but you’re also responsible for the deliverables, making sure clients get what they paid for. 

Your reward for doing all that work? More work. WTF?

Of course, you dream of the day you’ll have your passive income product ready to rock and roll. It’ll be perfect from the start, everyone will love it, and it will sell like hotcakes while you drink piña coladas on your private beach.

Every time you go down that daydream 🐇,🕳, you probably shake yourself out of it when you start thinking about how much it will take to create that passive income product…

• It’ll take lots of time you don’t have
• Think about all that money you’ll sink into creating and marketing it 
• What if it needs tons of fixes, or the offer doesn’t sell?

Then, there’s that whole thing about urgency. Your clients and audience need help — likely one or two VERY specific things — today.

Not next month, when you have a 1:1 project slot open. Not in 3 months, when your course is done. N-O-W.

The tasks start piling up in your brain, your calendar gets fuller, you realize you’re behind on that client project, and you still have to run to the grocery store.

The overwhelm is REAL.

I get it. There’s a lot you want to do, and a lot you don’t have time to do. That’s why I recommend making a digital download product — and I have one thing that’s going to help you get started so you can calm that overwhelm and FINALLY make passive income.

Evaluate the “truly passive” product that’s right for you

As you can see in the video, my best advice is to actually figure out what type of offer is going to reduce your overwhelm in the long run. You don’t have a ton of time now — and that might not change in the future. And if you’re like me, you don’t want to commit a ton of time to future projects.

So think about different offers you can make and what sort of commitment you’re facing:

• Courses: They’re great, but can require a lot of startup effort. Time, money, content, and marketing are all involved. Plus, you’ll have to promote the course a lot to stand out in your industry. (There’s also the pesky issue of your competition buying it more than your customers)
• Coaching: I loooove a good coaching program — I even have one! This is a great way to share your expertise, work with multiple people, and not have to worry about doing their actual work. You will need to promote the program or openings, though, and there is time involved with calls, support, marketing, etc.
• Digital download products: At this point, you know I’m partial to dCommerce™ products, but it’s for good reason! You can create something that solves a specific problem in much less time, and promote it on an evergreen or automated basis. Boom!

No matter what type of passive product you want to create (and I only listed a few), it just requires getting specific with what you want to offer and when you can create. I love digital download products because they’re a lot less time-intensive and you can get them up and running so much faster… and you can help more people that way!

I promise, it’s not as overwhelming as your brain has made it out to be. You can do it, and your future self is gonna thank you big time.
