The holiday sales season is upon us. Black Friday this, Cyber Monday that, holiday gift sales there. It’s a lot — and whether you’re a digital product creator, a service provider, or a coach, you might wondering exactly how to get in on this cash cow.
But… WTF would you sell?
Whether you’ve been thinking about creating a digital product or are still wondering if they’re right for you, these five digital product ideas can help you get those wheels (and bankrolls) rollin’ this holiday sales season.
The best part? They won’t be a pain in the ass to get done, either. Let’s go!
These are super popular during sales, no matter what type of business you run. How do I know? Because everyone loves planners, duh!
Digital planners are an easy, low-ticket way to reach new people with an exciting offer or to get your current audience pumped up about your Black Friday deals — they work especially well for adding in bundles or as BOGOs.
You can create a planner for your specific industry or ideal client. I’ve seen people create ones for entrepreneurs with ADHD, for busy moms who have kids with special needs, and so on. There’s so much room to play here!
We’re already in the middle of the holiday season, but with the biggest part of it just right around the corner, everyone is a sucker for cute holiday-themed ideas. And there are plenty of people looking for quick gifts to send their clients, coworkers, contractors, or friends!
If holiday-themed products aren’t your thing, you don’t have to make them bright and bold and covered in red and green. You can offer special, limited-edition prints that you won’t offer any other time of year.
They can serve as a note of appreciation or encouragement or can be a fun way to say thank you!
New Year’s resolutions will soon follow all the Black Friday mayhem. And whether you’re about making resolutions or not, plenty of people are, and they’ll be looking to get their hands on resources that can help them achieve those goals.
If you already offer a service that aligns with a common “New Year’s resolution” (time management, self-care, exercise, etc.), then you already have an easy, best-selling idea. And even if your biz doesn’t specialize in any of those obvious resolutions, you could turn your services into one, like:
What might seem easy to you could be something your audience is trying to work towards. Dig deep and think about what you can teach them, and then turn into a digital product.
Mini-courses and challenges are best-sellers no matter the time of year, but especially during the holiday season. People want to learn new things, and if you know enough entrepreneurs or folks in the small/online business world, they definitely want a mini course that will teach them something valuable they can use in their biz.
For example, I just hosted a 30 Over 30™ TikTok Challenge — it was $97 and 30 days and people ate it up! Your challenge can be live, via email, or just a few days long. It doesn’t have to be a whole month.
Again, take what you already know, but just keep it short and sweet. A mini-course or challenge is a perfect, bite-sized chunk during the busy season. No need to reinvent the wheel here!
If you’re a creative entrepreneur, there are hoards of ideas hiding under your nose — ideas that don’t require you to create anything new or too adventurous. In fact, I’d advise against that during such a busy season!
